Trip Overview

Rupina-la pass trek is another long forbidden and unbeaten trail of Manaslu open for the Trekkers, which was officially opened to tourist. It is challenging and difficult trekking pass of Gorkha district. This trek is geographically spectacular and culturally fascinating circumnavigating Mt. Manaslu (8163m), Peak 29 (7871m), Himal Chuli (7893m) and Boudha (6672m). In this trekking trail, there are very less tourist to do this trek however it is very beautiful and interesting. This trek is in a region of strong Tibetan influence. The Trek cross the Rupina-La (4520m) and Larkey pass (5250m) and descend to the Marshyangdi River and further trek down to Besisahar from where we will drive back to Kathmandu. It offers superb Himalayan scenery, Lush valleys, beautiful landscape, wild animals and birds.

Trip Itinerary :

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu,transfer to Hotel otel and welcome dinner.
Day 02: Full day Kathmandu Guided Tour.
Day 03: By Bus: Kathmandu – Gorkha. Trek to Kalikasthan (1210m).
Day 04: Kalikasthan – Gairichap (1420m, 6h).
Day 05: Gairichap – Thala (2215m, 6h).
Day 06: Thala – Dharchey Dada (3245m) – Shambe (2930m, 6h).
Day 07: Shambe – Pomkin (2800m, 6h).
Day 08: Pomkin – Roshe Kharka (3100m, 5h).
Day 09: Roshe Kharka – Rupinala Phedi (4000m, 6h).
Day 10: Rupinala Phedi – Rupila pass (4720m) – Pass Phedi (3500m, 6h).
Day 11: Pass Phedi – Duiambae Kharka (2300m, 6h).
Day 12: Duiambae Kharka – Nyak (2340m, 5h).
Day 13: Nyak – Ghap (2156m, 5h).
Day 14: Ghap – Lho (2800m, 6h).
Day 15: Lho – Sama Gaon (3530m, 4h).
Day 16: Sama Gaon – Samdo (3780m, 4h).
Day 17: Samdo – Dharamsala (4480m, 4h).
Day18: Dharamsala – Larkey pass – Bhimtang  (4000m,8h).
Day 19: Bhimtang – Dharapani (1860 m, 6h).
Day 20: Dharapani – Jagat (1230m, 6h30).
Day 21: Jagat – Ngadi (1000m, 5h).
Day 22: Ngadi – Besisahar (850m, 4h).
Day 23: By Bus: Besisahar – Kathmandu (6h).
Day 24: Free Day in Kathmandu.
Day 25: Departure.

Price For The Trip: The total cost for the trek or tour you decide you want to do will depend on several different factors. The type of accommodation you prefer in Kathmandu will make a difference to the overall cost (budget to 5 star accommodations). The mode of transport you prefer will also affect the cost of your package, for example prices vary greatly between flying versus private car/van, tourist or local buses. The camping trek and teahouse trek made a difference in the cost. The number of guides and porters required will also affect the total cost of your trek. For these reasons, the same trek / tour can vary in price quite substantially.

Tea-house Lodge Trek Cost Includes:

  • All 3 major meals Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner (provide continental food) and accommodation in tented camp during the trek en-route. 
  • 1 English speaking trekking guide, 1 Cook, Kitchen boys, necessary Sherpa & Porters.
  • Life insurance for all support crews and their daily wages.
