Dear Amazing Authentic Treks & Expedition (p) Ltd.

I first found out about Kul from dear friends of mine that trekked with him in Nepal few years back and in spite of distance and time they kept in touch. My friends recommended Kul from the bottom of their hearts and I did not hesitate for a second to take their recommendation. So I contacted Kul few weeks before my arrival and I got the best service one can possibly ask for, as well as priceless advice and detailed responses to my many, many questions.

By the time I landed in Kathmandu I felt like I knew Kul for years he was already my friend. I had everything planed and organized (he even helped me with return plane tickets from KTM to Delhi!), I was ready for adventure.

My first few days in Kathmandu were amazing, Kul took me to see some extraordinary temples and sites where he explained all the religious symbols and customs. He answered to all my questions and patiently waited for me to take all the pictures I wanted and they were many. He also introduced me to the real Nepali and Newari food, oh, the fantastic Nepali food!!!

Kul and his brother Mim have trekking company, “Amazing Authentic Treks & Expedition (p) Ltd.” took care all the formalities and bureaucracy needed to safely start my dream trek: the Annapurna Circuit.

With feet on the ground and eyes gazing up at the vast expanse of the mountains and sky, I knew I was going to have one of the most fantastic experiences of a lifetime. What made it a truly positive experience was Kul and his brother. Kul and his not only a veteran trekking guide, who knows the trek routes extremely well, who knows all the guesthouse owners, who can answer any questions about the significant places and Nepali customs, he is also a very kind, caring, happy and engaging person. He made the trek fun and enjoyable.

We walked five to six hours a day until we reached the next guesthouse where we spent the night. Along the way, we shared all kind of stories and had lots of laughs. I learned a lot about his family and culture and vice versa. Kul also taught me a little bit of Nepalese throughout the trek. As we walked, he would speak Nepalese words and phrases repetitively until they were ingrained in me. Oh yeah, he would test me, too! Being able to communicate even with Nepali people along the trek made a huge difference in the entire experience.

Back in Kathmandu and before leaving for home, Kul invited me to his home to have dinner with his wife and children, who were all so very warm and hospitable.

I came as a tourist and I left as a friend!

Thanks again, Kul! You have made my time in Nepal an everlasting, memorable one.

I would definitely go back to Nepal and there is no one else that I would want to guide me and show me the wonders of that incredible country.

I recommend “Amazing Trekking” (www.amazingauthentictreks.com) and Kul from the bottom of my heart.
